ah nothing quite like the feeling of having too much time!
it sometimes feels like the saturation of the media in modern life has rendered individuality extinct…. i mean there seems no way to simply escape the world and really be yourself without being influenced by something on TV or the internetz. or maybe that’s just me.

i cant just sit here looking at my computer again today, I’ve done it every day for the last few years, its dull! everything i do revolves around it! the worst part is i cant even think what i should do without it, i really don’t have a genuine reason to go outside and that is very sad, modern convince has condemned me to a life inside my own room where i don’t need to go anywhere, look for anything, work for any reason, its all there, its all in the internet or on the TV and its all been done …

Currently there’s some major competition going on in the Browser world,
and although i’m a user of Google Chrome i’m going to Keep this as un bias as possible,
The Browsers I’m going to talk about are Firefox 4, Google Chrome 11, IE9, Opera 11, and NOT safari.
Why not safari?
its not because i’m an avid windows user who despises macs almost as much as i do hipster, cat loving, fashionista fops.
No, its simply because safari hasn’t had any major releases recently, so currently its quite behind other browsers, that said its still better than IE8 ever was.
So first off we have Mozilla’s latest entry Firefox 4, a vast improvement on 3.6 in every way, much faster, much cooler interface and already has support for all the major extensions.. more or less. It also has a download manager, VERY neccessary! above all its very stable.. unlike certain other systems…
However…. whilst Firefox 4 is much faster than 3.6, that doesn not neccessarily make it “fast” It is the slowest to start of ALL the new browsers, it STILL has to restart every time you update or change an extension… ANNOYANCE. and whilst its interface is much cooler than before, its still clunky in comparison to others.
My final issue wityh firefox is the constant stream of updates, i dont understand why firefox has to do this crap everytime you start it, whilst Chromes update is a single click, that you can choose when to do.
overall I would rate it highly with a 7/10
onto my pick of the bunch; Google chrome, without any doubt the fastest browser ever, it travels at lightspeed compared to other browsers. It has the best interface; minimal, slick, address bar has built in google search and great support for opening nineteen tabs at once; muhahaha.
and my favourite thing about chrome: the built in element inspector, if you want to know the css or html behind a page; right click/inspect element SOOO win. available through Firebug with firefox, but BUILT in to chrome. Chromes update feature is also the champ, you just go to your browser menu and click about chrome and it updates automatically….firefox!
However, i said this was goin to be unbiased didnt i?
Chromes Problems are few, but definitely frustrating,

Chrome crashes, and relative to other browsers, it crashes a TON!
as you can see from the helpful error message, its impossible to discern the nature of the issue, and thus garner any solution. Whoa? what am i; five? i know its crashed, tell me WHY?
….aint nothin but a heart ache
The other thing chrome surprisingly fails at is its complete lack of a REAL download manager, in this day and age its very noticeable, and definitely something to be embarrassed about.
That said, chrome is SO fast and i award the super speed award of 9/10
So, onto IE9
A IE you’ve certainly come a long way
If IE9 had come out last year it’d have been the best browser going,
Its fast.. relatively slick, Jam packed with cool features stolen from other softwares (oh microsoft!) and its stable.
The New IE is worlds apart from the old one, I MEAN Worlds apart!

Like that song IE9 is awesome, It has a download manager, Great support for extensions, and is a viable effort from microsoft to take on the market as real competition and not just rely on IE being the default browser.
and of course, it starts fast.
I suppose the only real negative side to IE, is it tries to be chrome, and it does a good job, but its still not chrome, its not quite as fast or well suited the a million tabs.
all in all though if i wasn’t using chrome i would be using this.

Opera, is very fast, it has support for lopts of cool visual stuff….
which is a good thing because it literally has the worst interface of any browser in history.
However, Opera has a lot of its own unique features, definietly not trying to copy iys way into the market, has lots of frankly strange shortcuts you can use for web navigation, but i’m sure they’re only strange to me because i doesnt really use them.
Opera is a stable fast browser, but i feel there’s a stigma to using it, Like its the “nonconformist” browser, and that a lot of people who use it ONLY use it, and chastise others for using anything else. thats what i’ve foun in my experience, and that is sad, obviosuly thats no reflection on the browser, but the fact of the matter is that opera while a strong contender is not as good at browsing as Chrome.
Its slightly slower and has the worst interface of any browser, Jam packed with unique features, but i suppose that’s not really what i’m looking for in my browsing experience, i just want something that’s reliable and intuitive
so I award a opera a hefty 8/10 tho i would use IE9 over it personally.
Im not quite finished yet, Im going to talk about a browser i recently came across, thats doing sometihng new and is backed by someone BIG. Rockmelt.
Rockmelt is chromium based browser from the guys who founded netscape.. who founded mozilla etc.. This browser is unique in, when you install it you log onto facebook
“unless your one of those people who thinks not having a facebook profile is something to boast about”
so you log onto facebook and then the browser window opens it has your Facebook friends on the left and you have share buttons everywhere, the idea behind it is that wherever you are on the web you can instantly share with your friends, it cuts out any middle man for sharing images or videos, Its a very interesting concept.
There eweb advertising is total fail tho i only found out about through random wikipedia searches, Maybe they’re not ready for a full release, Maybe its another good concept thats doomed form the start.
Either way, its fast, intuitive, flashy and cool. Its a little scary of course that facebook now might have its own/ish browser, the old “facebook wants to become the internet” argument rises up again. Of course, if that’s what’s happening its like a force of nature, there’ll be no stopping it.
So the overall results are a little surprising
Google chrome 9/10
IE 9 8/10
Opera 8/10
Firefox 4 7/10
I haven’t given Rockmelt a proper run but if you’re an enthusiast i’d definitely recommend giving it a shot
man i’m so tired, I will never ever be a morning person, its critical that i can find some kind of way to become a success without having to work 9 to 5 style, Cus mornings destroy me leave me wrecked for the whole day. if it was a case of me being able to wake up at nine it would make a huge difference. This nine to 5 culture that has developed is bullshit! The working day in reality should be from 10 to four, if it wasn’t for peoples greed we wouldn’t have the fail system that’s in place now.
and before anyone chimes in with some useless nugget of info like; people work those hours cus they need to, to survive! that’s complete crap, The only reason everything is as expensive as it is in this country is because of how many hours people work, its all relative, so if it was a case that everyone worked from 10 to 4 then cost of living amenities etc would reflect that.
It’s a pity that i know that that’s never going to happen tho, people are perfectly happy to tolerate working for 30% of their lives. That’s why i want to be rich, not so i can buy a mansion or drive a Ferrarri or any of that jazz, I wanna be rich so i can completely ignore how depressing the thought of being stuck anywhere 9 to 5.
and of course people will say; that’s juvenile, you need to live in the real world; all that tired,recycled garbage, But the only reason things are the way they are is because people are happy to leave things be, THIS! is not what life is all about, and if you think THATS a juvenile statement then you’re a fucking moron.

Sometimes you get so bored with everything, that you feel the need to run away and retreat from reality, after all; reality blows. there’s planty of ways to escape from things in this backwards, over compensating for useless chumps era we live in. I mean come on! look around you; on average people over forty and up, are vastly harder and better workers than any of our useless generation have ever been, i think its because everything has become so convienient, that nobody is even trying anything anymore, i dont feel i;ve progressed or advanced to any great extent in the last few years, and to be honest i doubt you have either.. ya bum.

There’s only so much escaping you do before you get really bored of ti though. Boom thats right back to where is started, it’s about now you rtealise how bored you are, how you’ve wasted the last month of summer doing nothing and how you wish you had a better constitution for alcohol abuse, I’m not sure how to do any of the other options, 1, 2 or 3, they just seem a lot less plausible right now. But i am sick of 4! you go to hell 4, you go to hell and you die.
People will call me lazy, but its okay for them they’re certainly not as confused as this, they can probably control their mood, have goals and ambitions, have “religon” and some idea of things that insitll with a genuine measure of pride, where are these things, i cant garnish these feelings from moaning or criticizing, dont think murdering the innocent will do it either, I have all this unrefined pent up energy and its just sitting there in the waiting room of infinte tedium, stoping every five minutes to look at its watch, and the watch is made of cancer. ha yahtzee is awesome.

one assignment left now, just my 40% final project in Digital video audio, and what do you know?
Crazy shits been happening all day, not on final cut pro, Sony Vegas pro, Adobe premiere pro or even windows movie maker… live would one scrap of my footage work properly. This is just typical, crazy scene skipping, with perfect audio fro no apparent reason but to confound me. MY bike is fucked! i don’t need this! YAAAAAAAH.
just work! go damn it! at first the video wouldn’t show in Sony Vegas, so i downgraded my QuickTime as was recommended by the internetz, then the video showed up, but the sound disappeared??? I’m talkin a .mov movie clip, which magically doesn’t display sound in SVP any more. but i play the file in QuickTime and guess what? it has sound!
Stupid back tire! all i ask of anything is that it works, completely unfailingly! damn! that might seem like a lot but it really isn’t! its just everything i own has been put together by cowboys! scumbags
i don’t want gears! they cause so many more problems than they solve; yet its more expensive to buy a bike without them? wtf! i just want a normal bike that does normal things, that doesn’t fall apart like a raped schoolgirl!
